Our client, a world leader in laser technology, is seeking a talented Electrical/Electronic Engineer to support their R&D and Manufacturing departments. You will work on high-power and high-voltage switched-mode power supplies and control electronics, playing a crucial role in ensuring the quality and performance of their products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain teams, and subcontractors to identify and resolve issues.
  • Design new electrical items as required.
  • Review, update, alter, or redesign existing electrical items.
  • Provide testing and development support throughout the product life cycle to ensure quality and compliance with Electromagnetic Compatibility regulations and relevant electrical safety standards.
  • Generate necessary documentation, including Wiring Diagrams and build instructions.

Skills and Knowledge Required:

  • Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
  • Proficiency in ECAD software for schematic capture, PCB layout, and wiring diagram generation.
  • Broad knowledge of hardware (analogue and digital) electronic engineering with a minimum of 5 years’ experience.
  • Knowledge of high voltage components (power supplies, DC-DC converters, inverters, chargers, etc.).
  • Ability to learn new concepts and skills.
  • Good written and oral English.
  • Confidence in presenting to management and technical specialists.
