Opus People Solutions are seeking an Programme Manager(Transformation) on a 6 to 12 month fixed term contract based in Rugby. There is the potential to go permanent after contract end.

This successful candidate would be working on a hybrid basis and line managing 4 members of staff including project officers and a transformation BP.

The ideal candidate will guide the strategic direction whilst identifying potential areas of transformation and maintenance of performance. This includes generalist transformation (process, project delivery, mapping).

Day to day, you will:

  • Work with the Chief Officer of Finance and Performance, define develop and co-ordinate the delivery of corporate strategy and transformation projects of change, involving significant organisational and financial impact.
  • Concurrently matrix manage programme teams drawn from various services across the organisation, and externally, delivering projects of organisational significance including on-boarding of new technologies, new processes and new ways of working.
  • Through development and implementation of change projects, support successful delivery of the corporate strategy and transformation programme, ensuring cost and efficiency savings are realised and that service/ performance improvements are achieved.
  • Conduct resource planning and forecasting to ensure that the programme and its projects can be delivered to time and to budget.
  • Constructively challenge and influence officers, including the Leadership Team, in order to deliver strategic priorities through successful delivery of projects and programmes.
  • Ensure that corporate strategy and transformation projects and programmes delivered follow effective project management methodology and deliver successfully through good project management discipline, strong governance and the proactive management of risks and issues.
  • Manage the programme budget to ensure value for money through the effective use of resources and controlling the expenditure incurred by the programme. Influence budget spends on transformation projects.
