About the Role:
Are you experienced in traffic management and passionate about ensuring safe and efficient road networks? My client are a Tier 1 contractor working within the highways and civils sector and are looking for a skilled Traffic Management Coordinator to join the team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, liaising with contractors, local authorities, and stakeholders to deliver effective traffic management solutions.
Responsibilities:
路Planning, coordinating, and implementing traffic management schemes in line with project requirements and industry standards.
路Ensuring compliance with Chapter 8 regulations and relevant codes of practice.
路Liaising with clients, local authorities, and site teams to design and approve temporary traffic management plans.
路Conducting site audits and risk assessments to ensure the safety and effectiveness of traffic management measures.
路Managing traffic orders, permits, and associated documentation.
路Providing technical advice to teams and resolving traffic-related issues promptly.
路Monitoring project progress to ensure timely and budget-conscious delivery.
Requirements:
路Proven experience in traffic management coordination, ideally within the highways or construction sectors.
路Knowledge of Chapter 8 traffic management guidelines and relevant legislation.
路TTMBC (Traffic Management Basic Course) and/or Lantra qualifications are highly desirable.
路Strong organisational and communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with multiple stakeholders.
路Familiarity with AutoCAD or other traffic design software is advantageous.
路A valid UK driving licence is essential for site visits.
