Elvet Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Quantity Surveyoron behalf of the Highways arm of a Tier 1Infrastructure Construction main contractor, immediately available to begin.
This reputable civils contractor are currently in need of a Freelance / Contracting Quantity Surveyorto supplement their strong commercial team. The work is a 6 month long contract covering a Highways Scheme near Coventry. This contractor has a global expertise in transport solutions and has won several awards within it's field.
This role is based on site in Coventry, Stoneleigh
Duties as Quantity Surveyor:
Commercial reporting including forecasting and wider project performance
Work alongside operational team to produce accurate End Life Forecasts
Manage client interface
Risk management including change control and WIP management
Contract Administration
Provision of contractual advice to the project delivery team
Aid in subcontract procurement and placement, ensuring best value for money and lowest risk achieved at all times
Payment and debt management
Post project appraisals and feedback loop to T & E team
Attend internal and external (Client) meetings
Final account compilation / submission
Experience Required as Quantity Surveyor:
Must have experience working as Quantity Surveyor for a civil engineering / infrastructure constructioncontractor ideally highways and general civils focused.
Must come from a Quantity Surveyor background on similar projects.
Must have strong knowledge and experience working with NEC suite of contracts.
Remuneration:
On offer is a day rate of up to 500per day (dependant upon experience)
