Think Community Partnership are working with a housing provider that is committed to providing high-quality, responsive housing services for their community. .

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Housing Services Manager to lead and manage the Housing Services team.

This is a vital role, where you will be responsible for ensuring excellent tenancy and estate management services, as well as overseeing key services such as the Independent Living Service and the management of a Gypsy and Traveller site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Housing Services team, ensuring high standards in tenancy and estate management for the HRA portfolio.
  • Oversee the Independent Living Service, ensuring that vulnerable residents receive the support they need to live independently.
  • Manage and maintain the Gypsy and Traveller site, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and the provision of appropriate services.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to housing management, including health and safety, tenancy agreements, and anti-social behaviour.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to continuously improve service delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor budgets and financial performance related to housing services, ensuring value for money.
  • Develop and implement policies and strategies to meet housing needs and improve tenancy sustainment.
  • Lead on resident engagement activities to foster strong relationships between the Council and tenants.
  • Handle escalated issues, complaints, and complex cases, providing solutions and ensuring positive outcomes for residents.

About You:To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Proven experience in housing management, including tenancy, estate, and support services.
  • Strong knowledge of housing legislation, regulations, and best practices.
  • Experience managing services for diverse communities, including vulnerable individuals and Gypsy and Traveller populations.
  • Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with a customer-focused approach.
  • Ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.
  • A commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion in housing services.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in housing, management, or a related field.
  • Relevant professional qualification (e.g., CIH) is desirable.
  • Experience in leading teams within housing management settings
