A dynamic and well qualified Design and Technology Teacher - Food Technology is required in an 'Outstanding' secondary school based in Rugby
The school follows a strong ethos that every child will achieve and encourage students to take part in all elements of the school. 75% of students in Year 11 gained at least 5 A*-C grades in their 2015 GCSE results.
The school have moved into a well located building with and have been given extra funding; they have invested heavily in all areas of the schools technology departments. Changes have included new machinery, refurbished workshops, investment in support staff and an increase to the number of teachers in the department. This has led to an increase in the number of students selecting food technology for GCSE level.
The school are looking to recruit a teacher who will join a well dynamic department. You will be teaching Food Technology at KS3/4. They are looking for a Design Technology teacher who has all the right attributes to make a valid contribution ensuring the students are making the right progress.
In addition, the school is very keen to hear from teachers who thrive in high achieving school's challenging both themselves and their students to achieve outstanding results.
If interested in this role you must have the following:
- Qualified teacher status (QTS) or oversea trained.
- PGCE in Design and Technology or degree level equivalent
- Extensive experience teaching Food Technology to KS3 and KS4
- Good behavioural management and subject knowledge
- Proven track record of raising attainment and keeping standards high
