Facilities Manager Hard Services Biased

About Us: Apleona is a leading organisation in Facilities Management, committed to providing exceptional services and maintaining high standards in all our operations. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Facilities Manager with a strong focus on hard services to join our dynamic team.


Job Summary: The Hard Services Facilities Manager will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repair, and operation of all building systems and infrastructure. This role requires a hands-on approach to managing hard services, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other critical systems, ensuring they are operating efficiently and effectively.


Key Responsibilities:


Maintenance Management: Oversee the maintenance and repair of all building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.


Compliance: Ensure all facilities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.


Budget Management: Develop and manage the facilities budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions and efficient use of resources.


Vendor Management: Coordinate and manage relationships with external contractors and service providers.


Preventive Maintenance: Implement and oversee preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend the life of equipment.


Emergency Response: Develop and implement emergency response plans for facility-related incidents.


Project Management: Lead and manage facilities-related projects, including renovations, upgrades, and new installations.


Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on facility operations, maintenance activities, and project status.


Qualifications:


Education: Degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related field.


Experience:


Demonstrable experience in facilities management with a focus on hard services.

Proficiency with maintenance management software such as Maximo or similar CAFM systems

Pharmaceutical or GMP knowledge would be advantageous


Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.


Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Certified Facility Manager (CFM) or equivalent are preferred.


EHSQ: Certification in at minimal IOSH, or NEBOSH or above


Leadership: Proven leadership and team management skills.


Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.


Communication: Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
