The Role

Working as part of a highly professional teamin Halton the Support Worker will deliver a high quality residential domestic abuse (refuge) service for people escaping domestic abuse and sexual violence. The work focuses on empowerment and enabling others to take control of their lives and achieve a number of key outcomes, including:

The role involves active involvement in the out of hours on call service rota.

The Support Worker will support the values of the organisation and work to ensure they are upheld at all times.

Delivering service to a high standard is essential to this role which involves working with people who can have complex and challenging support needs. The postholder is expected to utilise their personal skills in order to persuade, engage and motivate individuals, leading to the most secure and positive outcomes achievable for each resident.

This is a varied and demanding role, requiring a highly professional approach. It requires appropriate initiative and actions to respond to the needs of vulnerable and socially excluded adults (and, often, their children).

Your communication skills and ability to relate to, and understand young people are important to us.
