We are seeking an Electrical Commissioning Engineer to work for the client based in the Liverpool area. This role is on an initial 4-month contract outside of IR35. As the Electrical Commissioning Engineer, you will be involved in planning, organisation and execution of all commissioning activities on specific engineering projects within agreed targets of time, cost, quality and SHE.
Key responsibilities & accountabilities:
  • Ensure safety, health and environment are maintained as the highest priority for all project commissioning activities.
  • Ensure project designs incorporate all equipment and systems necessary for safe and efficient commissioning.
  • Develop and implement commissioning and operating philosophies.
  • Lead the development of suitable commissioning teams and manage these teams through to project beneficial operation.
  • Prepare and manage commissioning programmes and budgets.
  • Develop plant operating instructions, train plant operators and collatecommissioning to operations handover documentation packs.
Key skills & experience:
  • Able to manage the interface between various project stakeholders potentially with differing objectives for the project.
  • Experience of plant operations and commissioning activities on a COMAH chemical plant.
  • Must be a team player and have strong leadership skills.
  • Must have competencies in conceptual thinking and strategic influencing and effectively communicate across all levels.
Qualifications
  • Degree or equivalent in Instrument / Electrical discipline, plus 10 years experience in a process plant environment is required.
