I'm looking for a meticulous Payroll and Pensions Administrator to join our client's team on a part-time basis. This role is ideal for someone with strong numeracy skills who enjoys working with data. You'll support both payroll processing and pensions administration, ensuring everything runs smoothly and accurately.

Key Responsibilities

  • Payroll Support:
    • Assist with the preparation and processing of payroll, ensuring accurate and timely payments.
    • Calculate statutory deductions, including PAYE, National Insurance, and pensions contributions.
    • Handle payroll-related queries from staff, resolving any discrepancies.
    • Maintain payroll systems and records in compliance with current legislation.
  • Pensions Administration:
    • Accurately calculate and process pension contributions.
    • Update and maintain pension records, ensuring compliance.
    • Assist with pension audits and ensure regulatory deadlines are met.
    • Liaise with pension providers to address any queries or issues.
  • General Administrative Duties:
    • Ensure all employee records are kept up to date and confidential.
    • Assist in preparing reports and data for the finance team.
    • Support with other administrative tasks as required.

About You:

You will be someone who is comfortable working with numbers and takes pride in delivering accurate work. While previous experience in payroll or pensions is desirable, a strong willingness to learn and develop in these areas is equally valued.

  • Strong numeracy and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
