Quantity Surveyor – £300 - £400 per day (INSIDE IR35) Long-Term Contract – Runcorn

Ford & Stanley Interim are currently partnered with a growing engineering and construction services business who specialises in delivering a wide range of infrastructure. Following a recent buy-out, the businesses orderbook continues to expand at an exciting rate.
This opportunity is situated in the energy division of the business and needs a Quantity Surveyor to support a long-term energy maintenance framework and eventually take lead commercial responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
As Quantity Surveyor, you will take management of a contract with upwards of 30 live jobs at a time valued between £10k and £2m. You will also be responsible for supporting the Senior Quantity Surveyor by contributing to the completion of CVRs and identifying any potential financial risks to the framework.
Project Cost Management: Tracking project expenditures to ensure they align with the budget. This will include monitoring costs related to materials, labor, plant, and subcontractor work to avoid cost overruns.
Contract Management: Assist in preparing and administering contracts, ensuring compliance with the terms and conditions. This role involves managing subcontractor agreements, assessing variations, and issuing instructions.
Risk & Change Management: Identify potential risks related to cost and schedule, propose mitigation strategies, and monitor risk management plans.
Essential Criteria:
- 3+ years’ experience working as a Quantity Surveyor
- Experience working in a civil engineering environment working with NEC forms of contract
- Educated to degree level in quantity surveying
