SEN Teaching Assistant | Runcorn | Full-time

A Runcorn Primary School is seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant to help support one of their KS2 classes (Year 4).

This is a full-time, long-term role starting as soon as possible until Easter.

This Year 4 class has a few children with additional needs, and as a result, the team need an extra Teaching Assistant to provide 1-1 and small group support. This is a hybrid role where you will have the opportunity to support the class as well running independent activities under the direction of the teacher.

The successful candidate will be:

  • Resilient and positive, showing initiative and flexibility;
  • Be able to work as part of a team under the direction of the class teacher;
  • Confident with supporting children with additional needs;
  • Firm, consistent and fun;
  • Approachable, patient and understanding;

To be considered you must:

  • Hold at least Level 2 (or equivalent) Teaching Assistant qualification
  • This position is subject to Enhanced DBS, Overseas police check (if applicable) and satisfactory references;
  • Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any gaps in employment must be explained;
  • Have the legal right to work in the UK.
