We are seeking enthusiastic and skilled Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teachers to join our supportive and dynamic team at a well-established school in Runcorn. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children with a variety of additional learning needs.

About the Role:

As an SEN Teacher, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with a range of special educational needs, including learning difficulties, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and emotional/behavioural challenges. You will provide tailored, high-quality teaching to help each child reach their full potential, using a variety of strategies and resources to suit individual needs.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Planning, preparing, and delivering lessons tailored to students' specific learning needs
  • Working closely with other teachers, teaching assistants, and support staff to create an inclusive learning environment
  • Assessing and monitoring student progress, setting achievable targets, and adapting teaching methods as necessary
  • Supporting the social, emotional, and behavioural development of students
  • Engaging with parents, carers, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for students
  • Participating in regular professional development to stay up-to-date with best practices in SEN education
About You:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A recognised teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent)
  • Experience working with children or young people with special educational needs (preferably in a school setting)
  • A compassionate, patient, and flexible approach to teaching
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, students, and parents
  • An understanding of the challenges faced by students with SEN and a commitment to promoting their inclusion and wellbeing
