Interim position to support the sales function of a highly successful consumer goods business

This company produces best in class consumer goods that are stocked in premium retailers across the globe.
Description
- Manage the life cycle of rebates/commercial agreements from communication, to rebate set up, accruals, journals, to reviewing contract, reviewing invoicing/claims , and partnering the regions to review rebates for accuracy, and ensure that a sufficient audit trail is recorded
- Understand and uphold policy and controls, and take corrective action/escalate exceptions appropriately
- Work on ad-hoc requests and reporting
- Hold monthly meetings with sales department/regions to review rebates/spend
- Deal with complicated reporting to calculate accruals
- Deal with high volume adjustments to be made accurately at month end.
- Learn/understand and ensure processes are being completed per a monthly calendar ( meetings, reporting, month end close)
- Build relationships with sales teams in a short amount of time (there is an element of customer service here- individual will be conducting frequent meetings and also needs the ability to ensure these meetings happen as required with a stretched sales force)
Profile
- Advanced excel
- Qualified Accountant
- History of supporting business through similar challenges
- Knowledge of Oracle and rebates highly desirable
- Month end experience a must
- Understanding of accrual accounting and UK GAAP
