An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sales Account Manager to join a growing, well-established, and reputable family run business with a group turnover of £10m+. They are looking for someone to play a pivotal role in increasing their market share through both pro-active and re-active selling and effective follow up procedures. The role will predominantly be selling the company’s range of outdoor living products from electric awnings through to glass rooms and bioclimatic roof systems. All products sit at the upper end of the market and are bespoke made. Due to the high-end value and bespoke nature of their products an ability to see the sale through to installation is vital, as well as having exceptional relationship building and account management skills. As a Sales Account Manager, your responsibilities will include:
  • Successfully negotiating sales of supply and installation of products within the product portfolio either domestic or commercial
  • Responding daily to fresh enquiries alongside other staff who would assist in qualifying, converting sales and completing site surveys
  • Meeting clients on site and assisting with surveys
  • Specifying for the job correctly enabling the project to proceed without snagging
  • Taking on new customers, and managing existing accounts with professionalism, enabling increased profits.
  • Creating and executing a business development plan to generate new business within defined markets and geography to meet business goals.
  • Liaising with other staff across the group to keep customers happy and increase profits.
  • Taking part in sales and marketing meetings and discussions, offering positive contributions.
  • Assisting in the accurate purchase of goods for each order when necessary.
We are looking for a Sales Account Manager who has the following skills and experiences:
  • Previous experience in a similar role - the role would suit someone with experience in selling outdoor living products, or with experience in industrial or manufacturing sales, or with higher value home improvement products. The company have also successfully recruited previous candidates from estate agency who were keen to continue B2C sales in a different sector.
  • Previous success in a business development role with demonstrable track record in achieving and exceeding targets
  • Strong negotiation skills and focused on profitability and maximising opportunities
  • Excellent rapport builder who grows and develops lasting relationships with customers
  • Driven, confident and tenacious
The role is predominantly office based with some travel to client sites whereby a pool car is available.
