Hours: Monday-Friday 37.5 hours per week – flexible hours

Interaction Technical have partnered with a global machinery manufacturer based in Rushden on their search for a skilled electrical engineer to join their growing team. Our client, who has been established for over 30 years, are a market leader within their industry and have now reached a stage of growth where they are looking to expand the team. The Role:

  • Use a variety of hand tools to assemble, wire and install an array of control panels and machinery.
  • Reading and interpreting both mechanical and electrical diagrams and drawings to ensure control panels are wired and assembled correctly and to the highest quality possible.
  • Wiring and assembling an array of gearboxes, PLC systems, heating circuits and servo drives as efficiently and effectively as possible.
  • Once the panel has been wired and assemble correctly, you will fitting these components to the onsite machinery.
  • Quality check your work to ensure quality expectations are met, reworking where required.
  • Ensure strict adherence to health and safety guidelines at all times.

The Requirements:

  • Previous experience within panel wiring and/or electrical assembly (essential)
  • The ability to read and fully understand mechanical and electrical engineering drawings and diagrams (essential)
  • An understanding and working knowledge of PLC systems (advantageous)
  • 17th or 18th edition wiring regulations (advantageous)
  • Relevant qualifications – NVQ’s, City & Guilds etc (advantageous)
  • Strict attention to detail
  • Work to tight deadlines
