About the Role:As our Chef, you will play a key role in creating nutritious, delicious meals that cater to the dietary needs and preferences of our residents. Your work will directly contribute to their health, well-being, and overall happiness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning and preparing balanced, home-cooked meals tailored to the dietary requirements of elderly residents, including those with dementia.
- Managing stock, ordering ingredients, and maintaining a clean, safe kitchen environment.
- Adhering to food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
- Working closely with care staff to ensure residents' individual needs and preferences are met.
- Supporting special occasions and events with tailored menus and treats.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience as a chef, ideally in a care home, healthcare, or similar environment.
- A passion for cooking and a commitment to high standards of food quality and presentation.
- Understanding of dietary needs, including allergies, modified textures, and dementia-friendly meals.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Food Hygiene Level 2 (or willingness to obtain).
