Health, Safety and Quality Officer (HSQE)

Part time - 25 hours per week (with flexibility)

Up to £42k per annum (pro rata)

Agenda Partnership have partnered with a manufacturer in Wellingborough who is looking for a part time HSEQ Officer to support them with developing, implementing and monitoring health, safety, quality and environmental policies and procedures to ensure compliance.

This is a new role within the business, although they have NEBOSH qualified personnel they don’t have somebody managing the process end to end.

This person does NOT have to be NEBOSH certified although highly desirable and in the long term might like the development in which the company would be willing to support.

Day to day responsibilities include:

  • Working closely with the management team to conduct risk assessments and identifying any potential hazards in the workplace
  • Develop the strategies to mitigate and eliminate those risks
  • Visit sites across the country to ensure HSEQ is maintained with employees and contractors to the business
  • Provide training and education to employees on all H&S and Quality issues
  • Lead and coordinate on safety committee meetings
  • Maintain all safety incidents, performance and compliance
  • Participate in audits and inspection to ensure compliance
  • Work closely with the management team to conduct a top to bottom analysis of the business activities and identifying areas of improvements regarding Quality.
  • Champion the CI projects
  • Work towards achieving ISO accreditation

Experience required:

  • Experience in HSQE and operational safety within a manufacturing or construction sector
  • Good understanding of the UK and EU legislations
  • Willing to travel to different sites periodically for inspections
  • Ability to lead on CI projects from concept to roll out
  • NEBOSH or IEMA certified would be a desirable
