As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in this journey, overseeing the commercial aspects of house building projects in the region. This position offers a fantastic team culture and reports to a well-respected Commercial Director.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Take ownership of two regional sites with over 400 homes combined, managing from superstructure upwards.
  • Handle all commercial aspects including tendering, procurement, site meetings, etc.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to align project objectives and ensure smooth operations.
  • Work closely with the construction and project management teams to forecast costs and manage budgets effectively.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within house building.
  • Competence in working remotely and independently.
  • Strong background in commercial management; this role would be ideal for someone who previous worked as a Commercial Manager and is now a Freelance Quantity Surveyor.
  • Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with meticulous attention to detail.
