Radar Systems / Satellite Communications Systems Engineer - DSP skills - Mathematical Analysis using Matlab/MathCAD -Hybrid - C60-80K + Benefits.A Radar Systems Engineer with experience in radar systems architecture/ satellite communication systems design with a focus on Signal Processing, will contribute to analysis and modelling of a variety of radar signal processing algorithms and waveforms to select the best options for new radar designs.

As a key member of the Senior Engineering Team, the Radar Systems Engineer will take ownership of the system design of the radar including specifying the hardware architecture, RF performance characteristics, waveform design and digital signal processing algorithms.

The Radar Systems Engineer will ideally possess the following skills and experience:

  • An Engineering, Mathematics or Physics Degree (Masters / PhD beneficial).
  • Experience of radar system design /satellite communication systems.
  • Strong Mathematical analysis and simulation skills to include Matlab, MathCAD and/or SystemVue.
  • Solid experienceof Signal Processing (DSP).

Familiarity with the radar equation and its influence on radar architecture, waveform design and signal processing methods would be highly beneficial as would knowledge of multi-function radar design and/or phased-array antenna design.

As a key member of a small team, you will be encouraged to communicate new ideas, will possess an enquiring mind and be open to discuss challenging technical problems with your colleagues as a strong team player. You will also participate in field trials.

Hybrid working is available, ideally with 3 days in the office per week and 2 WFH.
