A Radar Systems Engineer with industry expertise in radar systems design or satellite communication systems design will use their extensive skills and knowledge to contribute to analysis and modelling of a variety of radar signal processing algorithms and waveforms to select the best options for new radar designs. You will be rewarded with a generous salary package, depending on your level of experience and Hybrid working.

As a key member of the Senior Engineering Team, the Radar Systems Engineer will take ownership of the system design of the radar including specifying the hardware architecture, RF performance characteristics, waveform design and digital signal processing algorithms.

The Radar Systems Engineer should bring most of the following skills and experience:

  • An Engineering, Mathematics or Physics Degree.
  • Industry experience of radar system design or satellite communication system design.
  • Strong mathematical and analysis skills.
  • Familiarity with the radar equation and its influence on radar architecture, waveform design and signal processing methods.
  • Knowledge of multi-function radar design and/or phased-array antenna design.
  • An appreciation of real-world radio effects.
  • Using Matlab or Mathcad.

As a key member of a small team, you will be encouraged to communicate new ideas, will possess an enquiring mind and be open to discuss challenging technical problems with your colleagues as a strong team player. You will also participate in field trials.

Hybrid working is available, ideally with 3 days in the office per week and 2 WFH.
