Our client is seeking an experienced and driven Production professional to oversee their manufacturing function, which is primarily outsourced to Contract Electronics Manufacturers (CEMs). This role focuses on managing production schedules, resolving quality issues, and ensuring seamless manufacturing operations.

This role involves the production of a complex electro-mechanical product consisting of over 15,000 components, and thus requires an exceptional level of accuracy and attention to detail. Management of obsolescence issues is also likely to be a key component of this role.

Responsibilities:
Manufacturing:

  • Collaborate with the COO to manage resources, budgets, and production activities in a dynamic environment.
  • Control product definition and oversee both internal and external production facilities.

Supply Chain:

  • Work closely with the Supply Chain Manager to develop purchasing strategies and maintain an efficient supply chain while reducing costs and lead times.

Quality Control:

  • Lead efforts to resolve non-conformance issues, comply with quality standards, and drive continuous improvement across the production process.

Success Metrics:

  • On-time, in-full delivery to customers.
  • Radar production lead time and first-time pass rates.
  • Minimising production-related quality issues (NCRs).

Competencies:

  • Proven experience in production management, particularly with CEMs.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Adaptability in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications:

  • Degree or equivalent in a relevant technical field.
  • Extensive management/leadership experience in a production and manufacturing environment.

If you are a motivated leader with a passion for quality and innovation, we encourage you to apply.
