Our client provides Case Management Systems for Employability and Skills providers to support the work they do with their clients, allowing them to break down employment barriers and enhance their clients lifestyles.

It enables their customers to record, track and evidence the work they do with their clients to move them into employment and training. Their clients include, UK government funded organisations such as local authorities, private training organisations and companies who specialise in apprenticeship training and getting people back into work UK wide.

About the Role:

We are looking for a Finance Manager/Bookkeeper with Office Management experience. You will be processing all sales and purchase invoices and ensuring that they are allocated to the correct projects on the company’s Xero accounting software. As a bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling the bank accounts on a regular basis and performing various accounting tasks. The ideal candidate will have a good working knowledge of Xero and Microsoft applications. You will report to the Directors directly and work with the Finance Director with a dotted line to the MD. You will also manage the payroll and provide a strong link to each of the company departments in particular sales. You will also have office administration duties including supporting of process and procedures within the offices, support for annual audits, support the Managing Director with renewals of insurance and annual budgets. Support the Finance Director on end of month reporting, budget and project tracking.

You are detail-oriented, organised, and have excellent problem-solving skills. You are able to work independently and as part of a team. You thrive in an open collaborative culture.

We need someone with the ability to learn on their feet and take ownership of the Financial aspects of the business. The candidate should be able to demonstrate:

  • Proven experience in financial management and bookkeeping role
  • Experience of Managing & processing payroll (desirable)
  • Experience of working in HR function (desirable)
  • Experience of working closely with sales teams
  • Proficiency in accounting software (Xero accounts desirable)
  • Commercially aware
