About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated HR and Organisational Development Business Partner to join our client and work directly with the Head of HR to drive forward the People and Culture Strategy. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the development and deployment of People and Culture interventions that focus on attracting and retaining top talent, supporting people to thrive, and fostering a culture of excellence across the organisation.
You will work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders, including leaders, the central team, and trade union partners, to ensure impactful HR and organisational development initiatives are successfully implemented. You will be responsible for supporting and enhancing the HR function and ensuring that employees receive a first-class and comprehensive HR service.
Key Responsibilities
- People and Culture Strategy Development: Collaborate with key stakeholders to support the development and deployment of key People and Culture interventions
- HR Service Excellence: Work closely with the Head of HR to enhance HR services and assist in the future development of the HR function
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with leaders, central teams, and external partners to ensure the successful delivery of HR and organisational development projects.
- People Management Support: Provide strategic and operational advice on employee relations and people management issues to leaders, helping them to navigate complex HR challenges.
- Change Management: Support change management initiatives to ensure alignment with the organisation’s goals, legal obligations, and best practices.
- HR Metrics & Reporting: Assist in the monitoring and reporting of key HR metrics to assess the impact of the People and Culture strategy and guide future interventions.
- Training & Development: Assist with the design and delivery of training programs, policies, and learning interventions aimed at improving HR practices and organisational development.
- Compliance & Safeguarding: Ensure that HR policies and practices comply with legal requirements, the ethos, and safeguarding regulations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR and organisational development, with experience in the education sector. You should have a strategic mindset, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders. You should also be familiar with employment legislation and HR best practices and have a genuine passion for making a positive difference in the lives of our students and staff.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in HR and organisational development, ideally within the education sector.
- Strong knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and employment law.
- Excellent communication, coaching, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience in managing change and delivering people management initiatives.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
