Job Description

Service Care Solutions has a new and exciting opportunity which has become available working as a Social Care Team Leader with Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council.

Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council are currently looking for someone who is happy to work 36.25 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise Support Workers to provide high-quality, consistent care.
  • Allocate daily tasks and coordinate resources for efficient service delivery.
  • Monitor staff performance, identify training needs, and conduct appraisals.
  • Ensure safeguarding policies are adhered to and incidents are appropriately managed.
  • Develop and update person-centered care plans in collaboration with service users and their representatives.
  • Liaise with multidisciplinary teams, ensuring effective communication and smooth transitions for service users.
  • Conduct service reviews and contribute to service quality monitoring.
  • Promote a safe and healthy working environment for all staff and service users.

About You:We are looking for a dynamic individual who is:

  • Qualified: Holds a Level 3 qualification in care (or equivalent) and is willing to work toward Level 5 within two years.
  • Experienced: At least two years of supervisory experience in a relevant care setting.
  • Knowledgeable: Familiar with safeguarding, care planning, health and safety, and relevant social care legislation.
  • Skilled: Strong leadership, problem-solving, communication, and ICT abilities.

Special Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS check.
  • Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
  • Willingness to work unsocial hours, including weekends.
