1:1 SEND Support Assistant Role

As a 1:1 SEND Support Assistant, you will:

• Provide individualised support to pupils with SEND, ensuring they can access the curriculum effectively.

• Assist the class teacher in creating and implementing individual education plans (IEPs).

• Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages learning and personal growth.

• Support pupils both in the classroom and during small group or one-to-one interventions.

• Help with transitions, break times, and other parts of the school day to ensure pupils feel supported.

• Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and other staff to adapt strategies to meet individual needs.
