Client Details

My client are a leading, private equity backed business in a sector where there is a lot of investment in this space. The business is looking to double in size over the next 3-5 years, having already experienced significant growth in the last couple of years.

Description

  • Prepare month end journals, including intercompany, interest and management charges postings.
  • Assist in the preparation of month end holding company management accounts.
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Perform month end intercompany reconciliations.
  • Assist with the month end consolidation and reporting of the consolidated results.
  • Support the implementation of financial and governance controls across the business.
  • Contribute to the production of accounting policy papers and accounting policy manuals.
  • Oversee the chart of accounts and ensure that all group companies are consistently applying this.
  • Assist in the production of the year end financial statements.
  • Be a key contact for the auditors and help to facilitate the year end audit process.
  • Support the internal tax team to resolve issues as required for submission of tax returns on a timely basis.
  • Work collaboratively across the various finance teams and contribute to adhoc projects, to improve processes and efficiencies.

Profile

  • Newly qualified ACA, with up to 1 year post qualification experience.
  • Technically proficient and strong double entry bookkeeping.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel capability.
  • Strong time management and organisational skills to ensure deadlines are met and issues are dealt with in a timely manner.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Ability to learn and work as an effective team member.
  • Problem solving and analytical skills.
  • A continuous improvement mentality with the ability to challenge existing processes.
  • Experience with consolidation desirable.
  • Experience with controls desirable.
