Accounts Assistant
Based: Salford (1 day office, 4 days home)
Salary: up to £30k + benefits
Our client is a growing SME business operating in an interesting sector providing products across the UK & internationally. They are continuously growing, launching new products to their customers and are on an exciting journey. This role will join a small finance team offering excellent exposure and the chance to own the transactional finance processes. We are looking for someone who is highly experienced and comfortable working remotely for most of the week.
Role:
- End to end management of purchase & sales ledger
- Overseeing system needs for CRM and SAGE including improvements & investigating any issues
- Chasing receipts internally and organising bank payments & bank reconciliations
- Some credit control / AR duties when required
- Preparing sales figures for VAT returns and Financial Controller
- Analysing overheads, assisting with month and year end if required
- Reconciling balance sheet, assisting with P&L
Experience:
- At least 5 years in a transactional finance role. There is no study support/progression with this role
- Purchase & Sales ledger experience essential
- Ability to work as part of a team but also alone to hit deadlines and be focused
- SAGE experience desirable but not essential
- Able to use initiative and learn quickly
