Page Personnel are recruiting for an Accounts Assistant on behalf of a fast growing retail business based in Worsley.
This role will consist of accounts payable and accounts receivable duties including month end and will provide a pathway to get involved in management accounts with progression to assistant management accountant over the next few years.This is a fantastic role for an ambitious finance professional.

Description
Accounts Assistant duties include:
- Record all payments and transactions received to/from suppliers and customers.
- Allocate payments and receipts across all accounts.
- Submit invoices to customers (including checking VAT has been applied correctly).
- Registering of supplier invoices received into company mailbox/by post.
- Investigate and resolve any queries relating to both supplier and customer accounts.
- Perform a regular review of both the Aged Debtor and Aged Creditor ledgers and add commentary in preparation for weekly update with the Transactions Manager and bi-weekly update with the Financial Controller.
- Ensure accurate setup of accounts on Sage for both new supplier and customers.
- Liaising with internal stakeholders with regards to queries and approvals.
- Any other office duties as requested by the Transactions Manager.
Profile
The successful candidate will:
- Have a proven track record in a similar accounting role (AP, AP or Accounts Assistant)
- Have a desire to progress long term to assisting with management accounts
- Be an excellent written and verbal communicator
- Have good working knowledge of MS Excel
- Be able to work alone and as part of a team
- Have a high degree of attention to detail
Job Offer
A salary up to £30,000 based on experience, study support, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, gift box & early finish on your birthday plus more.
