Join Salford Council as a Senior Manager in Strategic Asset Management, where you will lead and develop a top-tier asset management service. This role is pivotal in managing the Council's operational estate and enhancing property-related services to meet the needs of the Council and its external partners.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Oversee the Council's Strategic Asset Management Plan (SAMP), ensuring it remains fit for purpose, current, and compliant with the RICS practice information standard.
  • Lead the development and delivery of a first-class asset management service that aligns with customer needs and is capable of competing in the open market.
  • Manage Salford City Council's operational estate, addressing operational risks associated with property usage.
  • Develop and implement Business Plans that cater to the needs of the Council and third-party customers, including GMCA and hospital trusts.
  • Drive growth in third-party income by delivering exceptional service and establishing clear goals, objectives, and accountabilities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a property surveyor, particularly at a senior level.
  • RICS qualification is essential.
  • Ability to develop strategic plans and manage large-scale asset portfolios.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
