Marketing Manager (B2B Experience)

Our prestigious client are looking to recruit an experienced, hands on, B2B marketing manager to plan, manage and monitor the campaign activity across the business in order to maximise lead generation and sales opportunities, whilst ensuring the universities brand guidelines are adhered to.

They are looking to recruit an innovative and results-oriented marketing manager with strong B2B experience to take ownership of our marketing efforts and lead generation for the business in order to maximise sales opportunities. This role will involve leading a small team of three and collaborating across departments to drive our marketing initiatives forward.

Along with a hands-on approach to creating campaigns, the role holder will provide operational management to the marketing team of 2 marketing executives and a graphic designer, providing support and coaching to the team.

The role holder will work closely with the Head of Operations and CEO to devise the marketing strategy for the business and will work to deliver continuous improvements to the overall marketing, customer experience and add value through innovation. They will be responsible for executing the strategy within the agreed timescales and budget, to achieve the goals of the business with the support network of the wider team.

About the role:

  • Lead Generation: Develop and implement strategies to drive qualified leads through various online channels, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
  • SEO & PPC: Manage and optimise SEO strategies to improve organic rankings and visibility. Oversee PPC campaigns (Google Ads, social media) including keyword research, bid management, and A/B testing to ensure strong ROI.
  • HubSpot: Manage marketing automation, lead nurturing, and CRM integrations using HubSpot. Oversee email campaigns, lead segmentation, and performance tracking.
  • Website Management: Oversee the day-to-day management and optimisation of the company’s website. Ensure that the website is user-friendly, up-to-date, SEO-optimised, and aligned with marketing campaigns and brand identity.
  • Branding & Graphic Design: Lead the development and execution of brand identity across all channels adhering to the brand guidelines, ensuring consistency in visual and messaging aspects. Work with our internal designer to create on-brand graphics, marketing collateral, and visual content.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate a small marketing team, providing guidance and feedback to ensure team goals are met. Manage team workloads and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with sales, product development and event delivery teams to ensure cohesive marketing efforts. Align marketing activities with business goals and provide insights for campaign optimisation.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Track and report on marketing KPIs, providing actionable insights to improve campaign effectiveness. Utilising data from analytics to make informed decisions.

About You:

  • Proven hands-on experience in B2B lead generation through several different marketing channels including email marketing, SEO, Paid Social and PPC
  • Experience working with third party stakeholders including website agencies
  • Strong proficiency in HubSpot or similar CRM platforms
  • Hands-on experience in website content management systems (CMS), such as Drupal or similar
  • Experience working with graphic designers to execute branding and marketing strategies
  • Excellent project management and organisational skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience of managing and adhering to marketing budgets
  • Experience with project management tools such as Jira and Asana
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven approach to marketing
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team, providing both strategic guidance and hands-on support
  • Experience within the training or education sector would be desirable but not essential
