Employability Skills Tutor

Greater Manchester

up to £29,000Reed Further Education are working with a Training Provider to recruit some employment specialists to join their team ASAP.

Responsibilities;

  • Supporting a caseload of learners with physical and mental health difficulties who are motivated to return to work, through a series of programmes aimed at improving their employability
  • Working on a 1:1 basis to establish barriers to employment, understand a person's strengths and areas for improvement and creating action plans for them
  • Support established learners who have gained employment to stay in employment through continual professional improvement and up-skilling courses

Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiating skills.
  • High-level guidance skills, with the ability to deliver one-to-one and group sessions
  • Experience in guidance, advice & counselling environments.
  • An understanding of working with disabled people, or a similar within education, health, social services, or the voluntary sector is desirable

Reed Further Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable people and expects all staff to share this commitment by undergoing a 2 years employment check and a DBS Application, completing mandatory training within 6 weeks of your first assignment and annually thereafter.
