Mon - Friday 9am - 5pm

Manchester Staff is currently looking for a Training and Onboarding Co-Ordinator and Lead to join a fast-growing client based in Manchester. As a Training & Onboarding Co-Ordinator you will be responsible for managing the interviewing, onboarding, and training processes for new employees. This role involves interviewing and selecting candidates, ensuring a smooth onboarding experience, and delivering training programs both internally and externally. You will work closely with senior management to align training initiatives with organisational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Candidate Selection:

  • Conduct interviews and assess candidates to select the best fit for the organisation.
  • Collaborate with senior management to understand hiring needs
  • Collaborate with recruitment partner to provide weekly interview schedules and feedback
  • Project future needs to allow proactive recruitment to be achieved by external partner
  • Frequently review candidate requirements in line with regulatory, business and cultural needs.

Onboarding:

  • Collate all necessary documentation to support hiring process including; DBS Checks, candidate applications forms, Professional qualifications, Education certificates & ID checks
  • Carry out necessary reference checks in line with policy
  • Facilitate orientation sessions and provide necessary resources to new employees.
  • Monitor the progress of new starters during their initial period and provide feedback to senior management.
  • Identify areas of continuous improvement for increased process efficiency
  • Collaborate with recruitment partner any changes or updates to new starter list.

Training and Development:

  • Deliver, and evaluate training programs for new employees, addressing both technical skills and soft skills.
  • Identify training needs through assessments and discussions with management.
  • Develop training materials and resources for internal use and external workshops.

Assessment:

  • Create and implement assessment tools to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs.
  • Gather feedback from participants and make improvements to training content and delivery methods.
  • Report on training outcomes and provide insights to senior management.

The ideal Training and Onboarding Co-Ordinator

Essentials:

  • 3-5 years minimum experience onboarding new starters or delivering training/educational programmes
  • Confident and clear communicator
  • Well-presented and professional manor
  • Strong analytical skills to assess training effectiveness and employee performance.
  • Knowledge of Safeguarding processes

Desirables:

  • Worked with SEN students
  • Worked within an Alternative Provision
  • Degree Qualified
  • Experience designing training programmes
