Milk Education have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic Classroom Assistant to join a Primary School in the M6 area of Salford to work on a long-term basis starting in January.

You'll be joining an inclusive and supportive Primary school focussed on diversity and individualism, whilst striving for excellence.

This is an exciting role for a new or experienced educator to join a fantastic school to support pupils in reaching their potential!

Under the direction of our class teachers, you will be working to meet the bespoke needs of our children through providing small group intervention session and one to one to meet their needs. You will need to be able to think on your feet in order to adapt ideas and support our pupils.

What you will be doing in the role:

· Working to meet the bespoke needs of thier children through providing small group and 1:1 intervention sessions to meet their needs.

· Assist the teacher in monitoring progress by keeping a daily observation record and maintain EHCP records as required

· To undertake specific duties identified by class teacher/ Lead teacher

· Reinforce the behaviour policy and aim to raise self-esteem and encourage independent working.

· To maintain a positive, supportive attitude within a team, to implement agreed school policies, aims and objectives and to promote the school ethos.

· Set an excellent example in terms of dress, punctuality and attendance.

Essential Qualifications:

· Basic knowledge of SEND and learning barriers

· Some knowledge of strategies in working with young people with challenging behaviours.

· Experience working directly with young people in an education or training environment, supporting the learning of students.

·Possess good numeracy and literacy skills.
