We are currently recruiting experienced and passionate teaching assistants for day to day and long term roles based in Swinton.

The ideal candidate will excel in creating relationships with students on a 1 to 1 and group basis in order to foster a positive learning environment. The role is ideal for someone who loves working with children, is supportive, and is eager make a positive impact on young minds.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting teachers and enhancing the learning experience for our students. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons
  • Providing one-on-one or small group support to students who need additional help
  • Supporting students with special educational needs (SEN)
  • Helping to maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Preparing and organising learning materials and resources
  • Supervising students during breaks and extracurricular activities
  • Assisting with administrative tasks as needed
  • Encouraging and promoting positive behaviour among students

Qualifications and Skills:

  • A passion for education and working with young people
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is desirable
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., a Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent) are an advantage
