Job Type: Full-time, Temporary with the Potential to become Permanent
Salary: Competitive, £95 - £120 per day
About the Role:Hays Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join a well-established primary school in Salford. This school serves the entire City of Salford and offers places for pupils aged 4 to 11 years, all of whom have an Education Health Care Plan. The pupils have a range of needs, including profound, complex, or challenging conditions. The school is committed to providing the very best learning opportunities for all pupils and creating an ethos of learning through enjoyment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
- Assist in the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs).
- Support classroom activities and help create an inclusive learning environment.
- Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.
- Foster a positive and nurturing atmosphere that encourages pupil engagement and development.
Key Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children with SEND.
- Relevant qualifications in education or childcare.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with special needs.
