Position: Teaching Assistant - KS1 Intervention Support
Location: M7, Salford
Salary: £86 - £91 per day
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:15 AM - 3:30 PM (30-minute lunch break)

About the Teaching Assistant Role: We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support Key Stage 1 pupils who have gaps in their learning and are of lower ability. Your primary responsibility will be to help these students bridge educational gaps, overcome challenges, and achieve age-appropriate attainment levels. This includes providing group support, one-to-one assistance, and delivering tailored interventions in core subjects such as Maths, English, and Phonics.
Teaching Assistant Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted support to KS1 pupils, adapting activities to their individual learning levels.
- Implement interventions that break down complex concepts into understandable segments.
- Collaborate with teachers to develop strategies aimed at raising pupil attainment.
- Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to the teaching team.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement.
Teaching Assistant Requirements:
- Experience working as a teaching assistant with young children, particularly in an educational setting.
- Ability to commit to full-time hours, Monday to Friday.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting children's learning and development.
- Relevant qualifications or training in education or childcare are desirable but not essential.
