My client are a growing SME who have huge growth plans on the horizon, hence recruiting for a Commercial Finance Manager who can come in and set up processes to help in their strategic decision making.

Description

  • Manage the company's financial planning processes, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives
  • Create annual budgets, long-term forecasts, and multi-year financial models
  • Provide financial insights to support business growth, profitability, and operational efficiency
  • Analyse financial performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Prepare and deliver detailed management reports, including variance analysis, KPIs, and dashboard metrics
  • Collaborate with business units to optimise financial outcomes and drive accountability
  • Serve as a key advisor to senior leadership, providing financial guidance for strategic initiatives and decision-making
  • Evaluate investment opportunities, cost-saving initiatives, and potential M&A activities
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure financial implications are considered in business strategies
  • Promote collaboration and knowledge-sharing within the team and across departments
  • Ensure continuous improvement of FP&A tools, processes, and methodologies
  • Enhance financial planning systems and tools to streamline processes and improve accuracy
  • Leverage business intelligence and analytics platforms to deliver real-time insights
  • Drive automation initiatives to improve efficiency and scalability
  • Monitor and manage financial risks

Profile

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
  • Demonstrable experience in financial planning and analysis or corporate finance
  • Able to operate effectively in both SME / high growth environments
  • Advanced proficiency in financial modelling, forecasting, and data analytics
  • Strong knowledge of FP&A tools and ERP systems
  • Expertise in Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI)
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders
  • Utilities / Financial Services / renewable energy sector awareness is desireable but not essential
