Role - Senior Account Handler   Salary - Up to £45,000Location - North Manchester

We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Account Handler to join a dynamic team. The Senior Account Handler will be responsible for managing a portfolio of commercial clients and delivering exceptional service. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with a strong background in insurance and exceptional client relationship management skills. The candidate should be able to effectively manage a team in a tight-knit company.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of commercial clients, understanding their insurance needs and providing expert advice and solutions
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring a high level of client satisfaction
  • Negotiate with insurers to obtain the most competitive terms and coverage for clients
  • Handle client queries and provide ongoing support throughout the policy lifecycle
  • Keep abreast of market developments and changes in insurance products to advise clients effectively
  • Support and mentor junior team members, sharing knowledge and best practices
  • Effective team management within our tight-knit company environment

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in insurance, with a focus on commercial lines
  • Relevant insurance qualifications (e.g., ACII, Cert CII) would be advantageous
  • Strong understanding of insurance products, market trends, and regulatory requirements
  • Proven track record in client relationship management and business development
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and target-driven environment
  • Solid team management skills

Day-to-day

  • Communicating with clients to understand their insurance needs and provide tailored solutions
  • Liaising with insurers to obtain quotes, negotiate terms, and secure appropriate coverage for clients
  • Managing policy administration, including endorsements, renewals, and mid-term adjustments
  • Providing proactive advice to clients on risk management and insurance solutions
  • Collaborating with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery of services to clients
  • Keeping abreast of industry developments and attending training sessions to enhance knowledge and skills
