The Role

This position is working for a leading manufacturer of AHUs & HVAC systems, primarily supplying into hospitals, schools and commercial buildings. You will be a part of a team of assemblers, who will travel to customer sites to fit their products. Sites tend to be Northwest based, but you may be required to stay overnight if they are further afield.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assembly / Refurbishment of Air Handling Units and associated equipment.
  • Organisation and planning of materials / equipment requirements prior to site attendance.
  • Checking and organising AHU parts for flatpack site builds prior to delivery to site.
  • Keeping the office updated on site progress e.g. progress photos, phone call updates etc.
  • Meeting targets and deadlines.
  • Checking drawing prior to attendance to ensure correct parts are taken.
  • Communicating with Works Manager on any minor problems.
  • Onsite problem solving.
  • Reading, understanding and assisting with Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
  • Ensuring work is undertaken in a safe manner and keeping RAMS are up to date whilst on site.
  • Producing written reports and photos once work is completed on site.
  • Outstanding / additional required works to be reported and thoroughly detailed.
  • To ensure the site is left in tidy and safe manner at all times.
  • Ensuring customer signs off Site Instruction sheet when works are complete.
  • Depending on circumstances it may be required to perform fitting work as per instruction of the Production Manager.
  • Stay overnight if customer sites are further afield - Meal allowance for Breakfast(£10) and evening meal (£25-Provided at eatery connected to Premier Inn) and small overnight allowance. All travel expenses will be paid.

The Candidate

  • Must have mechanical assembly experience.
  • Must have a full UK Driving License.
  • Must have an in date CSCS card.
  • Must be able to travel UK wide and stay overnight when required.
  • Ideally have mechanical engineering qualifications.
  • Must be able to read engineering drawings.
