JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity within an Information Systems & Analytics Team for a Technical Project Manager who has a good understanding of system architecture and data management principles with experience in both Agile (Scrum and Sprints) and Waterfall project delivery.

Working as the Technical Project Manager you will lead and manage complex system and data services projects, ensuring successful delivery within defined timelines and budgets.

This pivotal role will support both the business and clients throughout the entire project lifecycle, from initial scoping and requirements gathering to final deployment.

As the Technical Project Manager you will have a proven track record of managing projects utilising both Agile (Scrum / Sprints) and Waterfall methodologies, demonstrating expertise in leading project scoping, planning, budgeting, and execution.

You will effectively manage change through established Change Management processes, drive process optimisation, and proactively address risks through thorough analysis and mitigation strategies.

This role demands exceptional communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, coupled with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently while consistently meeting deadlines and budget constraints.

DUTIES

Your duties as the Technical Project Manager include:

  • Lead and manage projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines and deliverables
  • Support the business and clients through the delivery journey of each project
  • Lead project scoping, requirements capturing, planning, and budgeting activities, aligning with organisational goals and objectives
  • Utilise Agile (Scrum, sprints) and Waterfall project delivery
  • Strong track record of managing complex system and data services projects
  • Manage change effectively by implementing Change Management processes and protocols
  • Process optimisation, and risk analysis and mitigation
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and budget constraints

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree educated or equivalent
  • Holds a qualification in an appropriate project management discipline such as PMP, APM PMQ / PFQ, CAPM, Prince2, ScrumMaster or similar
  • Have previous project management experience, with determination, motivation and pride in the standard of work delivered
  • Confident in communicating with people at all levels
  • Experience of working in Migration projects
  • Excellent leadership and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in Financial Services desirable, particularly in collection and recoveries
  • A good working knowledge of project planning software is desirable such as Microsoft Project, Asana, Jira, Trello or similar
