Quantity Surveyor - Planned and Reactive MaintenanceManchester - Hybrid Salary £35,000- £55,000 + Company Vehicle/Car Allowance + Package

We are working with a leading Social Housing / Property Services Contractor to recruit an experienced and successful Quantity Surveyor to join their team, helping to successfully deliver a framework in Manchester. You will be working on a framework that will be running for three more years and involves both internal/external planned and responsive maintenance. This role could also suit a strong Graduate / Trainee Quantity Surveyor wanting to make a step up.

You will take responsibility, ownership, and accountability of the successful management and control of all aspects of the commercial/financial and contractual elements of the works to control and maximise the company's profitability, protect the company's legal and contractual obligations under the contract, and manage all day to day commercial issues.

Quantity Surveyor Key responsibilities:

  • Managing subcontractor packages
  • Subcontractor negotiation
  • Cost value reconciliation
  • Producing cost reports
  • Subcontractor payments/processing applications for payments
  • Valuations
  • Variations
  • Final accounts

Quantity Surveyor Essential experience:

  • Degree or other technical qualification
  • Strong commercial awareness
  • Quantity Surveying experience with a main contractor
  • Experience delivering planned or reactive maintenance works
