I'm recruiting for a Secondary Teacher to start ASAP, full time & long term, at an independent alternative education provision in the Salford area.

  • Teaching English as main subject although you may be required to cover other subjects ocassionally. Students working at low levels.
  • Students receive core subjects in the morning and sports in the afternoon.
  • Excellent rate of pay that's negotiable depending on experience, up to £230/day.
  • Paid PAYE via Tradewind. We don't use third party umbrella pay companies!
  • Equal pay to what you would get on contract from 13th week onwards.
  • Hours are Monday to Friday 8:30am-3:30pm.
  • Possible temp to perm for the right person.
  • Small class sizes of no more than 10 pupils.
  • Students working a lower levels than expected for their age.
  • Teacher will need to be able to differentiate to meet differing needs, interests and abitlies.
  • All young people have an EHCP for SEMH or associated needs such as ADHD, SpLD or Autism.
  • Each class has two experienced Behaviour Support Assistants.
  • Easily accessible by bus, train, tram or car.

To join us and be successful in this Salford based Secondary English Teacher role, you will need to:

  • QTS, QTLS or other relevant teaching qualification.
  • Have an enhanced DBS Disclosure (or be happy to apply for a new one).
  • Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable).
  • Minimum of 2 professional references.
  • Provide a CV with a full history.
  • Have the legal right to work in the UK.
