English teacher - Salford - summer term Prospero teaching are working with a ofsted graded 'good' secondary school on the outskirts of Salford who are recruiting for a temporary teacher of English to join their team after the Easter break for the rest of the academic year on a full time basis. You will be required to become fully immersed in the department and school, by attending departmental meetings and being available for parents evenings as and when required. As well as deliver lessons that are both engaging and academically appropriate to stretch the students in the classes. Regularly mark work and provide feedback to students. You will be teaching classes across both key stage 3 & 4. The role will be open to newly qualified teachers (ECT) as well as teachers who has more experience, we pay from M1 to M6 (sometimes we can also pay through threshold if you have done so, depending on the role) CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS Location Salford Position English Teacher Start date April 2025 End date - July 2025 Rates of pay MPS/UPS Hours 8:15am 4pm EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS QTS, QTLS, PGCE, or equivalent Previous experience working in a UK school Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (essential, however training can be provided) Up to date Prevent awareness training issued in the last 3 years (essential, however training can be provided) Up to date behaviour management & FGM training (essential) TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST: Hold Right to Work in the UK Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to obtain a new one Provide two professional references If you would like to be considered for this role, please apply with a copy of your up to date CV today.
