Our client in Salfords is seeking a dedicated and efficient Stock Controller to join their team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that the inventory is well-organised and readily available for our customers. This position involves managing stock levels, maintaining a clean and orderly warehouse environment, and ensuring smooth operations to meet business needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect, store, and organise incoming stock items in accordance with company procedures.
  • Ensure shelves are stocked accurately and efficiently, adhering to category management principles.
  • Assist in the organisation of the warehouse to facilitate easy access to products.
  • Perform regular inventory checks to ensure stock accuracy and report any discrepancies.
  • Safely and effectively operate forklifts and other materials handling equipment.
  • Collaborate with supply chain teams to optimise logistics and business processes.
  • Utilise warehouse management systems to track inventory levels and movements.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety standards within the warehouse environment.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of supply chain principles and logistics operations.
  • Experience in shipping and receiving processes is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with category management practices.
  • Proficient in materials handling techniques, including safe operation of forklifts.
  • Knowledge of business processes related to warehouse management.
  • Experience with Power BI or similar data analysis tools is a plus.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
  • Excellent organisational skills with a strong attention to detail.
