Our client in Salfords is seeking a dedicated and efficient Stock Controller to join their team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that the inventory is well-organised and readily available for our customers. This position involves managing stock levels, maintaining a clean and orderly warehouse environment, and ensuring smooth operations to meet business needs.

Responsibilities:

Inspect, store, and organise incoming stock items in accordance with company procedures.
Ensure shelves are stocked accurately and efficiently, adhering to category management principles.
Assist in the organisation of the warehouse to facilitate easy access to products.
Perform regular inventory checks to ensure stock accuracy and report any discrepancies.
Safely and effectively operate forklifts and other materials handling equipment.
Collaborate with supply chain teams to optimise logistics and business processes.
Utilise warehouse management systems to track inventory levels and movements.
Maintain cleanliness and safety standards within the warehouse environment.

Skills & Qualifications:

Strong understanding of supply chain principles and logistics operations.
Experience in shipping and receiving processes is advantageous.
Familiarity with category management practices.
Proficient in materials handling techniques, including safe operation of forklifts.
Knowledge of business processes related to warehouse management.
Experience with Power BI or similar data analysis tools is a plus.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
Excellent organisational skills with a strong attention to detail.
