Role responsibilities
- Preparing and reviewing year-end accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders
- Managing a portfolio of clients and acting as a key point of contact for their day-to-day needs
- Preparing and reviewing VAT returns, tax computations and management accounts
- Advising clients on financial systems, reporting processes and accounting best practice
- Assisting with tax planning and liaising with the internal tax team where necessary
- Supporting the development of junior staff and reviewing their work
- Ensuring deadlines and compliance requirements are met across all client work

Candidate requirements
- ACA or ACCA qualified with significant experience gained in an accountancy practice
- Strong technical knowledge in accounts, tax and reporting for SMEs and owner-managed businesses
- Comfortable managing client relationships and acting as a trusted adviser
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Experience supervising or mentoring junior staff
- A proactive approach to continuous learning and professional development
