You'll manage the Communications team, enhancing the organisation's profile with key regional and national audiences.You'll oversee media and stakeholder relations, marketing, and internal communications, ensuring a consistent brand message. Working closely with the Director of Fundraising, you'll help raise awareness and inspire support for the organisation's work. As the senior communications expert, you'll also guide colleagues and trustees in developing key messages to advance the mission. - Serve as a member of the Executive Leadership Team, providing strategic communications leadership to senior management and the Board of Trustees.
- Direct and lead the Communications team, translating organisational strategy into an actionable integrated communications plan.
- Oversee high-quality communications across online and print platforms, collaborating with senior colleagues as needed.
- Co-develop compelling cases for support with the Director of Fundraising to inspire support for the organisation's work.
- Act as the lead spokesperson for the organisation in TV, radio, and other media, ensuring positive representation.
- Develop and implement a 5-year Communications Strategy, including brand strategy, media outreach, and stakeholder engagement plans.
- Manage the communications and marketing budget, coordinate creative services, and lead a dynamic team to deliver on communications goals.
- Lead, inspire, and manage a high-performing Communications team, ensuring professional development and performance goals are met.
- Build relationships with key media leaders and act as the lead spokesperson for the organisation in media interactions.
- Plan and execute public relations and media outreach initiatives to enhance the organisation's visibility and reputation.
- Develop and implement strategic PR plans to enhance visibility, build relationships with journalists, bloggers, and influencers, and drive media coverage.
