Job Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker / care assistant to join our team. You will provide assistance and care to individuals in need, including seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those requiring medical support. This is a rewarding role that allows you to make a positive impact on the lives of others.

Responsibilities:

- Provide personal care and support to individuals in their homes or care facilities

- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming

- Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals

- Prepare meals and assist with feeding if necessary

- Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment

- Assist with transportation to appointments or outings

- Provide companionship and engage in meaningful activities with clients

- Monitor and report any changes in clients' health or behaviour

- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure the best possible care for clients

Requirements:

- Previous experience in caregiving or support work

- Knowledge of dementia care or senior care is a plus

- Ability to perform heavy lifting if required

- Excellent communication skills and ability to build rapport with patients

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

- Ability to follow instructions and work independently

- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
