Probate Lawyer - Full/Part Time - Hybrid or Fully Remote Working Available

The RoleDue to the rapidly increasing demand for probate services, this firm is offering an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Probate Lawyer to join its growing private client department. The position is available on a full-time or part-time basis, with the flexibility of hybrid or fully remote working, depending on the candidate's preference. The role focuses primarily on probate work, with the potential to grow into other areas such as trusts and family wealth planning, depending on the successful candidate's experience and interest.

The TeamYou will be joining a well-established private client team known for its expertise in handling a broad range of work, including wills, probate, lasting powers of attorney, and some Court of Protection matters. The team is collaborative, with a strong focus on delivering high standards of client care. As the firm continues to grow, particularly in the area of trusts and estate planning, there will be opportunities for further development and involvement in more specialised areas of private client law.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing a personal caseload of probate matters, ensuring high-quality client service and timely case management.
  • Advising clients on estate administration, with the potential to expand into wills and LPAs depending on the workload and the candidate's preference.
  • Working independently with minimal supervision, yet maintaining strong communication and collaboration with the wider team.
  • Contributing to the development of the private client department, including involvement in business growth initiatives.
  • Training and development opportunities available in trusts, inheritance tax, and family wealth planning, should the successful candidate wish to diversify their practice.

Qualifications & Experience

  • At least 3 years' experience in probate work, with a strong ability to manage cases independently.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritise workload efficiently.
  • Proficiency in IT and case management software.
  • Strong communication and client care skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional service.
  • Experience in will drafting, LPAs, and trusts would be advantageous but is not essential. Training is available for those wishing to expand their expertise in these areas.
