We are seeking an enthusiastic and talented Drama Teacher to join our team and inspire students through the performing arts.

Job Title: Drama Teacher

Location: Amesbury, Wilthshire

Position: Type: Full- Time, Temp- Perm contract

Salary: £31,650- £49,084 per annum

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging drama lessons to students of varying ages and abilities.
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that covers various aspects of drama, including acting, directing, script-writing, and stagecraft.
  • Encourage students to explore their creativity and develop their confidence through performance.
  • Adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate different learning styles and needs.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback to students, parents, and other staff members.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes collaboration and mutual respect.
  • Organise and direct school productions, including plays, musicals, and other performances.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support the overall educational goals of the school.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
  • Experience teaching drama, preferably in a school setting.
  • Strong knowledge of various drama techniques and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
